Wall Street Journal Article on Al Gore’s New Suit in Delaware Court of Chancery By Francis Pileggi on August 23, 2014 Posted in Chancery Court Updates We have previously on these pages highlighted litigation involving a contract dispute in the Delaware Court of Chancery, and an appeal before the Delaware Supreme Court between AT&T and the U.S. cable network that Al Jazeera bought from a company in which former VP Al Gore was a major investor. The litigation in that case centered mostly on what portion of the court documents the parties could withhold from public view. The Wall Street Journal’s Holman Jenkins, Jr. reports in today’s paper about the suit that Al Gore filed in the Delaware Court of Chancery against Al Jazeera claiming that they owe him money related to the sale. The WSJ article suggests that an early settlement may be likely due to the parties’ interest in avoiding disclosure about details of the deal.
