The Sedona Conference Commentary on Ethics & Metadata March 2012 Public Comment Version

The Sedona Conference has issued a draft commentary on Ethics and Metadata for public review and comment, linked above. This commentary is very helpful in understanding various ethical duties in discovery and non-discovery situations. In addition, there is a very informative discussion of ethical dilemmas in multijurisdictional situations which raises some very interesting issues in cyberspace (where there is no there “there”). The draft commentary also contains many useful practical tips and best practices.
