Courtesy of the Delaware Business Blog, here are the details of a quintessentially Delaware phenomenon: any Delaware resident can meet the Governor of the First State for 5 minutes, on a first-come, first-served basis, as time permits, to discuss any topic of their choosing. Governor Minner has done this in the past and I applaud her for it.  I find it hard to believe such a practice would be offered in any other state. Accessibility of Delaware public office holders is one of the things that is characteristic of Delaware. Perhaps because of its relatively small size, it is easier for Delaware to engage in "retail" politics as opposed to the "wholesale" politics of larger states.
