The Wall Street Journal Law Blog reports here on a story about the Akin Gump law firm suspending a secretary who was working at night for the "D.C. Madam" who has been in the news of late. The ostensible reason for the suspension, according to the blog post, was that the law firm’s policy forbids full-time employees from working second jobs. We could write for days about the various aspects of this story, which I will not do here, but it is such an interesting and titillating tale that we could not fail to mention it. I am certain that most of our readers will forgive the somewhat "off topic" nature of this short post due to the broad "human interest" scope of this law-related news item.
