Objector to Class Action Settlement Entitled to Access to Discovery Taken in Case
In Ginsburg v. Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Inc., 2007 WL 2982238 (Del. Ch., Oct. 9, 2007), read opinion here, the Chancery Court ruled that an objector to a proposed settlement of a class action is entitled to at least limited access to discovery already taken in the case, subject to a confidentiality order, so that the objector will be in a position to assess the fairness of and the detailed basis for the settlement.
